VAT
Operating under the Austrian small-business exemption (Kleinunternehmerregelung, §6 Abs 1 Z 27 UStG) - no VAT is charged on our services, as long as annual turnover stays under the statutory threshold. A VAT identification number (UID) is nonetheless held, ATU83494425, for intra-EU reverse-charge purposes on cross-border B2B services received from non-Austrian providers (e.g. Google, Paddle) - this does not affect the small-business exemption on our own sales. Should the exemption itself change (turnover grows past the threshold, or VAT registration is chosen voluntarily for our own sales), this section will be updated accordingly.

Purpose
PuffinVBT is a velocity-based training (VBT) analysis platform, offered as a commercial subscription service (free tier plus paid Athlete/Coach plans - see Pricing). It originated as part of a Master's thesis at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and uses computer vision to extract barbell velocity metrics from smartphone video recordings.
Basic orientation of the blog (Blattlinie, §25 MedienG): editorial content covers velocity-based training science, product updates, and powerlifting technique, independently determined by the operator.

Consumers who are habitually resident in another EU/EEA member state also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of that state's law which cannot be waived by agreement. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
